Why do we fish? - The search for Nirvana..... by Mangrove Jack

Nirvana is referred to in Buddhism as the ultimate goal. It is the ultimate place to reach or state of being....... and guess what I'm convinced that fishermen and the type of beings we are, are always in search of theirs. My personal fishing nirvanas have certainly changed over the years. That's the great part about fishing and we are so lucky in South East Queensland (in and around the Pumicestone Passage in particular) to have such a diversity of environments to fish in. I'm going to add a poem here from the famous fisherman Zene Gray that I love and have on my fishing wall. It sums up fishing for me anyway.
